Natasha is responsible for the design of the Tara website, as well as several of our books. Natasha did her B.F.A in Communication Design at the Parsons School of Design and her M.F.A in Graphic Design at the Yale School of Art. She was senior designer at Microsoft, and has been involved in design projects for various organizations over the last ten years, including Rolling Stone Magazine. Rathna has an MA in Communication Design from the Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design, London and a PhD from the University of Reading. She runs minus9, her own graphic design studio and teaches design at Central St. Martin’s. Rathna has steered the design philosophy of Tara since the beginning through her book designs, as well as creating distinctive catalogues and exhibitions. In the process, she can be said to have pioneered innovative children’s book design in India. Avinash lives in Bangalore, where he works as an artist and designer. He trained under and went on to collaborate with the Italian designer Andrea Anastasio. He has also done stages at Studio Sowden and Studio Fronzoni in Milan, Italy. Avinash Veeraraghavan’s work reflects his interest in popular culture and in exploring a mix of visual media. His art is becoming increasingly well-known and has been shown at major exhibitions worldwide.
